Well, today's post is to prove to you all that we really DO have a life this year outside of Disney--ha, ha!!! This weekend was Kennedy Space Center's annual free weekend for Brevard County Residents (hey, that's us!). Well, it was free except for our obscenely expensive lunch, at least! :) We went with some friends; this is Jonathan and his sister Jessica. The kids all had fun hamming for the photos and us parents were happy because we didn't get rained on! CJ even braved the new "Shuttle Launch Experience".

I know it's not a great picture, but in about a week, there will be a shuttle on that launch pad behind CJ! Watch for the next launch on October 23, 11:38am!

The kids really had a good time--lots of opportunities to be goofballs, too!

Just a picture for nostalgia's sake. They will be changing the name of the park soon, and dropping the MGM. It will be called, "Disney Hollywood Studios". We've been in a nostalgic mood lately; I don't know why. We've been collecting pins with the old logos on them and Eric's been listening to me talk about all the old rides. I guess we really are getting old--ha, ha! :)

I "babysat" Mickey for a few minutes so that CJ could have some fun in the playground (Honey, I shrunk the Kids set).

Here are CJ and Mickey having fun in Liberty Square at the Magic Kingdom. CJ and Dyan had the day off for Labor Day and wondered what we were going to do. Hey, we found out that Labor Day is a GREAT day to go--no crowds!

Well, here we are in September and everything is gone now--yea!! The scaffolding has been removed but the barriers are still there keeping you from going inside. I believe Spaceship Earth should reopen in November, so we will see what changes are in store for the ride itself! It's been a fun summer seeing the various changes! :)
