No, we've not gone over "to the dark side" as fans, but we had a little taste of NASCAR right here in Palm Bay this morning, so we thought we'd check it out. CJ enjoyed getting up close to a real stock car at, of all places, Home Depot!

2 weeks after our trip, my Mom and Dad were in St. Augustine, so we met them for a mini-trip overnight. Here's CJ in the stocks at the jail (tourist trap--I mean, attraction), having a little fun--yes, we did eventually let him out! :)

We were able to spend Memorial Day with family, then had to go home the next day. Here's CJ with his cousin Jim playing with water guns.

A family friend from Fort Lauderdale, Stew, also attended the birthday bash. I know it was a nice treat for Mom and Dad :)

Well, we've had a busy summer so far already! Right after school ended, we trekked up to Maryland for a long Memorial Day weekend to celebrate both of my parents' 60th birthdays. We had a surprise party for them and they never had a clue--it was a wonderful time!

I can't believe how fast time goes--the last post was in April! Here is CJ with his 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. D'Amico. She was such a blessing to us this year--she really cared about CJ and he really learned a lot! He made a lot of new friends in a new school this year and is looking forward to 3rd grade (but we were all ready for a summer break)! :)
